I constantly see people on this subreddit asking questions surrounding Abrahamic religions.
The issue I have with that is these questions almost always are far better suited and would illicit much better responses from the users on /r/AcademicBiblical.
If mods banned those types of questions here, and redirected the OP's to /r/AcademicBiblical then we wouldn't be flooded with so many questions about things that could be much better answered on another subreddit, and we can focus more on other types of questions that are better answered here.

I disagree. /r/AcademicBiblical is a much more niche sub with a particular vibe. It is not a general forum for all Abrahamic-religion related questions. Users there could easily subscribe here and provide quality answers here, if they wished to, and some do.
There are all sorts of questions that regularly flood our sub. I think it’s a bad practice, and bad precedent, to start hiving them off to other subreddits ‘because we get too many of htem’. We might as well have /r/HistoricalMongolianArchery
There’s no reason good answers to religious historical questions can’t be provided here. And there’s good reason not to start a practice of banning them.
In addition to the other comments here which I agree with, /r/academicbiblical, as far as I'm aware, isn't really suited for discussions about Islam.
I agree with the others in this thread that this would not work. Abrahamic religions are a serious and important topic in historical inquiry and therefore falls into the scope of this sub, especially since historians might provide a different viewpoint and different expertise on the subject than theologians or study of religion.
