Looking for a few book/article suggestions concerning Early Modern religious culture.

So I think it's ok to ask for suggestions here, feel free to delete if it's not.

I was just looking for a few suggestions for either books or journal articles, doesn't matter which, about the impact of the reformation/confessional division on religious culture?

Doing a bit of work for a presentation in one of my tutorials, I've read my assigned readings and a few things I have found myself, but it's a topic I find interesting and the more the better so I thought I would ask.

Two books that are readable as well as fascinating, and that pertain to "religious culture" as I understand the term:

  • Barbara Diefendorf, From Penitence to Charity: Pious Women and the Reformation in Paris
  • Philip Soergel, Wondrous in His Saints: Counter Reformation Propaganda in Bavaria

You might also look into what you can find on Augsburg specifically--since the city was legally multiconfessional, there is some really interesting comparative work within the city, as well as articles that compare Augsburg to single-confessional cities.

Religious culture is one of my focus areas, so if you don't mind sharing what your required readings were I'd be very interested!
