I'd recommend reading this. It's from a medical journal, about the validity of Nazi hypothermia research. Obviously there's debate about the ethical implications of using the data, but this paper explores whether it's worth using at all. It details how the hypothermia experiments were done, the results, and how the experimental procedure makes the data not terribly useful. In this it touches on the prisoners and the other experiments, but I'd say it's primarily about the Nazi scientists.

It's important to note in this that the hypothermia experiments were among the best, in terms of science. The Nazis actually wanted the results for their own use, and attempted some sort of experimentation. Most of the experimentation lacked any sort of scientific process or anything resembling a modern experimental design. Most were scientists wondering things without real experimentation or data (which could've yielded something useful, I guess, but didn't), or just torture done by scientists.
