The Ming had no say in the matter as they didn't rule Taiwan. No Chinese dynasty ever had when the Dutch first began to exercise power on the island after they were banished from the Pescadores (not the mainland). Taiwan would first become Chinese when Koxinga and his Ming loyalists conquered it - because they needed a base against the Qing. Then the Qing conquered it - because they needed to eradicate the opposition. Had the Ming Dynasty not fallen at that time and in that manner, it's plausible, maybe even likely, that Taiwan would never have fallen under Chinese control, just like Luzon and the Ryukyus didn't.
