Humans are animals. We are part of the kingdom animalia, phylum chordata (vertebrates), order: primates (with other great apes). Our species (homosapiens sapiens) has been around for about 200,000 years.

Anatomically modern humans evolved about 100,000 years ago. That said, it's likely that earlier, tool and fire using ancestors had language and social organization too.

When you look at it hard, it's rather hard to tell how humans are special st all and more and more animals start seeming more "human".
