I have a picture of the Maquis de St. Marcel, a Breton group of the French resistance, in 1944.

I am trying to identity the bandolier being worn by the man standing in the foreground on the left, with the pennant on his bayonet. Any ideas? I imagine it would have been dropped by the British or the Americans.
Maybe this?
After a quick look around, It seems that, in french, those are called "cartouchière d'allègement".
I'd translate it by "weight relief(?) bandolier".
