I'm contemplating writing a novel about a Rhodesian man who serves in the Light Infantry during the Bush War and once Rhodesia becomes Zimbabwe, he moves to South Africa and serves in the 32 Battalion. Any firsthand account from these units or of Rhodesian/South African soldiers during the period? Thanks!

The members of 32 would anyway most likely not speak out,I had a family member who was in 32. Just to clear one thing up,they never engaged civilians because that is where they got food and water from and being so far up in enemy territory if they ran out of food or water logistics could not get to them.
