This websites mentions that in WWII, German troops were sometimes airdropped into Cornwall during the Blitz. Can anybody shed some more light on this?

I don't see anything on that site that mentions German troops being dropped into Cornwall. The Germans never attempted any parachute landings by troops at any point on the British mainland during the war. Though several spies were dropped into England.

The site does describe that defenses were setup to guard against 'attacks from the air'. Which would obviously mean against either bombers or paratroopers.

Does that help?
