Also, what was the standard equipment of a German Wehrmacht/SS soldier at the beginning of the war and what was added/scrapped as the war developed? Are there any differences between Western and Eastern front equipment?
why didn't you just google this. every rifleman got a bayonet and the pioneers got sawback bayonets to build fortifications and what not. they also got flammenwerfers to burn down houses the amerikaner hid in. the pioneers could construct 88mm FlaK cannons that would shred planes and tanks a-like. Sherman tanks were considered death traps and they were pretty shitty until the brits upgunned them and renamed them Fireflies (apt name, cause flies only live like, what a few days?)
