I ask because we have all had some reading in school. We slowly proceed and break down what is being said sometimes. Would it have been as difficult at the time of writing to understand? I know of course language evolved and words come in and out of favor, but I feel like the common man may have been just as confused as most of us are. Was he writing, maybe, for the higher class?
