Was it the only armed conflict that happened on American soil during WW2?
I stumbled upon an article that says the only combat casualties to occur on the U.S. soil during WW2 were some 6 people (1 woman, 5 children) that had died from an explosion of an unexploded Japanese balloon bomb. Surely they have forgotten the Aleutian War?

Both Alaska and Hawaii were still territories until 1959 whereas that article is clearly talking about attacks on the 48 United States. That's why Pearl Harbor is also not included.
