Was there ever a Nazi resistance after Hitler fell and Allies took control of German territories?

Comrade!

During my duties spying for the motherland in the homeland of the fascist invader and occupant, one of my primary duties was finding and getting rid of the members of the feared werewolf movement.

When the heroic tropps of the motherland and the party threw back the fascist beast during the well thought out Operation Bagration, executed by our own glorious leader /u/Marshal_GK_Zhukov , the fascist leaders trembled in fear of our might and the murderer thusly instituted the Werewolf order under the auspices of the SS-butcher Hans-Adolf Prützmann and the command of the blood-thirsty tyrannt Himmler.

In all my cunning and guile I was able not only to learn of their methods which consisted of wanting to build a movement of Nazi Partisans in order to disrupt communications and attack us and our allied liberators but also that until the end of 1944, the fascist leadership was able to recruit up to 5.000 people to fight in Werewolf units.

When the fascists were nearly beat in March of 1945, their heinous minister of lies, Jospeh Goebbels wanted to proclaim via the radio that it was time for the werewolf uprising. But their leader, Gitler, would have none of it since he in his paranoid delusion still believed he could beat the well-oiled war machine of the homeland and the party of Socialism.

When we and our allied libgerators learned of the werewolf, we first feared to have to contend with the a German Nazi Partisan movement. Several small scale actions of these Nazis hiding in the shadows have been recorded, among them the insidious assassination of the major of Aachen at the end of March 1945 and a werewolf group claimed responsibility for the murder of an American officer in early April 1945.

Before we learned lateron that the Werewolf was actually more myth than reality and their actions amounted in the end to very little and were far from organized, my comrades of the People's Red Army as well as especially our fellow British liberators took harsh measures against anyone suspected of using terror in the cause of the Fascist murderers. My boss, comrade Serov reported to our leader, Beryia that in 1945 alone we had arrested 600 people, mostly youths of the age of 15-17, and not only had used our enhanced interrogation on them but also shot several hundred for admitting under duress that they were members of the werewolf. We later had to admit our mistake and rehabilitated most of them.

Our British collegues acted with a bit more restraint but they too in fear of the non-existant werewolf arrested between 3.000 to 5.000 Germans in order to supress any and all fascist resistance to the delievers from the fascist bootheel.

The only validly dangerous case that me and my collegues of the NKVD learned of in our valiant defense of socialism and liberation, was the so-called Soucek-Rössner conspiracy in Austria. Thefascist functionaries Theodor Soucek and Hugo Rössner conspired in 1946 during a meeting in Salzburg that they would carry on the Gitler-fascist ideology and to re-establish fascist rule. For this purpose they stole identity papers from the unemployment office in Salzburg as well as tried to arm themselves. Internal strife however about who should the "Führer" of their gang and general incompetence - as is inherit to all bloddy fascists - lead to their arrest in 1947. They were tried in court and sentenced to death though their sentence was later communted to life-long in prison.

There were some major concerns shared by myself and many other staff members at SHAEF as well within the Allied civilian governments about the possibility of a Nazi resistance movement and guerilla war after Allied forces began the occupation and administration of what had been previously Nazi Germany.

These concerns were heightened by two separate events as well. First, our intelligence assets discovery of an official Nazi plan, codenamed "Werwolf", to foment such a resistance. Second, The Germans had shown a great deal of determination to make the final months of the war in Europe as devastating and excruciating on both Allied military forces and civilians (even their own in many cases) as they possibly could. We could only imagine how this ferocity would be translated into a resistance movement once the majority of German military capabilities were eliminated.

Upon discussing the existence of how serious the threat of "Werwolf" being carried out was with my staff, I made a few key decisions that I feel helped stave off any major resistance movements or acts of guerilla warfare. First, I made it my initiative that once I was briefed on the very real existence of "Werwolf" to have my corps commanders to focus their drives on southern Germany and Austria rather than Berlin, in order to stifle the official center of the resistance as well as its supposed redoubt before it could be successfully started. This also allowed forces under my command to link up with Soviet forces and further encircle remaining German holdouts.

Second, I made the request to the War Department and Gen. Marshall that if the expected guerilla war had broken out, that my forces would not be expected to strictly adhere to certain sections of JCS 1067 (The document created by U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau outlining the way in which an American led Military Government of Germany would be conducted), specifically that if a guerilla war broke out, my military government would not be responsible for maintaining living conditions for German civilians within those areas afflicted by mass resistance or guerrilla warfare. While this request was not well received by some of our allies, the War department gave me their tacit approval to carry out my military government in the manner I had suggested if a guerilla war came to pass.

Fortunately, our fears were mostly unfounded. While there were reports of a few reprisal shootings and a handful of major sabotage actions and explosions, the main Nazi plan to create a redoubt in the Bavarian Alps and initiate a guerrilla war against the Allied occupation forces did not come to pass. I strongly believe that my actions, as well as the actions carried out by my corps commanders and the Soviet supreme commander /u/Marshal_GK_Zhukov helped to make the Nazi resistance a non issue, as well as the fact that most Germans were simply exhausted from fighting a total war for so long, and no longer had the desire or drive to continue it in any shape or form.
