I am just reading articles and am still not sure how I feel about the massive illegal immigration discussion. My family came here legally in the 50's. How was it different during that time? Was it easier or harder? Did it cost the same or less?
I'm taking an immigrant experience class as an undergrad, so while I cannot give the detail that others may be able to I think I may be able to help. Where did they come from? Did their original country have political problems?
