Thanks so much for reading.
I recently was involved in this post:

It's my understanding that for all intents and purposes all humanity throughout recorded (and surely before) history everyone was involved in slavery to varying degrees.
The British ended slavery legally within the 1/3 of the earth they controlled and actively suppressed it elsewhere, so can't we say that at least ostensibly "white people participated in and even expanded slavery, but they also eventually enforced the end of it"?
Thanks so much for reading and any potential responses!
As a caveat addendum, we all know some forms of slavery continue to exist.
My question is about the legal prohibition of global slavery as an accepted institution as it was for millennia.
Thanks
