For full clarity I am a wargamer who has a heavy historical slant. I have recently become enamoured with Mesoamerican culture after 10 years enthralled with Rome and after reviewing sources on the military equipment & differences between Maya & Aztec I wanted to know if we had any evidence or idea on what a Mixtec warrior would look like or be armed with? Would they have the kind of eagle & jaguar warrior sects like the Aztecs, or would they be similar in kit to the small shield, square tunic & crested cap equipment of the maya?
