Much of the New Testament has been attributed to the Jewish Roman citizen we know as Paul the Apostle, originally known as Saul of Tarsus. 14 of the 27 books in the Bible are attributed to him, and 7 of the epistles (Letters of Paul) have been accepted as undisputedly authentic.
