Is there much evidence beyond what is in [this] (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/02/01/AR2009020102023.html?sid=ST2009020201419) article to support Martha Washington looking like [this] (http://ww4.hdnux.com/photos/04/71/35/1283939/3/920x920.jpg) in her younger years?
The article itself addresses this being revisionist. Is it?
I am currently reading 'Washington: A Life' and it quotes several contemporaries who refer to how comely and attractive Martha was in youth, and that even in older age she still had a certain appealing quality about her. Of course, she was already a widow with children when she shacked up with George; but there is some anecdotal evidence of her comeliness.
