How were these theories developed and propagated? We're there any bias to accuse native Americans to paint in a light as irresponsible? After hearing theories of cataclysmic events as a potential cause for the extinction of fauna such as; Saber tooth tiger, wooly mammoth, wooly camels, etc... Is there any evidence to disprove one or the other?

It's worth stating that this isn't really an issue for historians, because historians deal in written records, and all of this happened before the invention of writing, which puts this issue within the purview of anthropologists and archaeologists. Clearly, these fields are related and there's a lot of room and good reason for interdisciplinary collaboration, but that mostly takes place at the level of synthesized conclusion, rather than at the level of rubber-meets-the-road research.
