Stefan Brink & Neil Price's 2011 The Viking World comes to mind as something you might be interested in. Brink & Price are the editors (the do have a few research pieces in there though) of this collective study that looks at all matter of areas within Vikingr and (more generally) Norse scholarship, some of the articles within the book include Scandinavia before the Viking Age, Law & Society: Politics and the legal customs in Viking Scandinavia, Women and Sexual Politics, The creation of Old Norse mythology among others on a plethora of topics.

Another book that comes to mind is Philip Parker's The Northmen's Fury: A History of the Viking World which is (from the brief bits that I've read of it) a fairly general study into the Vikings & their world.

Neil Price has also written fairly extensively on Viking age Scandinavia (from an archaeological perspective); The Viking Way: Religion and War in Late Iron Age Scandinavia (1st Ed: 2002, 2nd Ed: 2016) & Odin's Whisper: Death and the Vikings (2015). Price also ran a 3 part series of lectures on the Viking understanding of death & the afterlife at Cornell University which you can watch here; Episode 1: Children of Ash, Episode 2: Life & Afterlife & Episode 3: Shape of the Soul

Thank you very much Subs-man, I purchased The Viking World & The Viking Way. I have to say I am very impressed by The Viking World so far, it is exactly what I was hoping for, thanks for the suggestions.
