Seeing how much there has been talk about the reliability of ww2 tanks, I started to wonder wether modern tanks (1946-1996 for 20-year-rule reasons ofc) are more reliable than their ww2-equilevants? Is there even data enough for comparison as most post-war tanks (if not all) haven't been tested in as long and high-intensity conflict?
If the question is too broad, I think I'd gain some insight if there were information about the evolution of average maintenance time and tanks to maintenance crew -ratio etc.
