I drive a truck around for 8+ hours a day and I feel my time could be spent better than hearing the same Journey song five times a night. I was looking for a wealth of information that is first and foremost accurate, secondly easy enough to understand without a background in history, and finally covering a broad range of topics from the evolution of cultures to wars, the impact of technological breakthroughs and everything in between. But most importantly, ancient aliens(kidding).
Any help in practically any subject will be appreciated.
Since you're open to literally anything educational, and they are the oldest truck-driver entertainment standby, do you know if your public library provides e-audiobooks? You can download them to your phone or iPod and play them just as easy as Journey. The most popular platform is Overdrive. Unfortunately only the most popular history books get turned into audiobooks, so the selection can be limited.
Also, just to get this out of the way, you know we have an AskHistorians Podcast right? :)
