Yes, it is indeed. The Kriegsmarine had managed to incorporate radar ranging into the fire control systems for use on warships at the start of the war, although unlike some allied powers they had not matured their technology to the point of it being the main part of their fire control systems for battleship gunnery. German doctrine for the use of fire control radar preferred to use visual ranging and reserve radar controlled gunnery for low visibility or night time situations.
This did not stop German coastal artillery making use of naval TeDeGerat radars for their battery fire control, able to detect even small targets out to ranges of 40km. The German batteries at Cap Griz Nez in Calais used a combination of spotter aircraft and radar to give fire control data on the British convoys that went back and forward through the Dover-Calais gap. However they did not fire upon these convoys with any remarkable success. Only 3 merchant ships were sunk by German cross channel gunfire over 4 years of the batteries being in action (although merchant seamen in these convoys were known to despise and fear these bombardments, which was partly the reason for the British cross channel gun batteries being beefed up). They tended to focus instead on shelling the British coastal ports and dueling with their British counterparts based around Dover.
