Suggested reading for every day life in 1740-1750 Britain?

I'm try to get to know the typical day-to-day experiences of people from a variety of backgrounds during the mid-1700's Southern England.

You should check out Dr. Johnson's London! More on the pop side, but well researched, very interesting and readable.

Amanda Vickery's Behind Closed Doors. At Home in Georgian England (2009) would I'm sure be of interest. It's pretty groundbreaking in using material culture etc. to look at homes of very different kinds of people in a really readable and well researched way. Honestly, it sounds a lot more twee than it is.

In some ways similar are Cowan's The Social Life of Coffee and Gatrell's City of Laughter. Sex and Satire in Eighteenth-Century London.
