I couldn't help but notice similarities between a few different folk songs, but I couldn't identify what it was that made them sound so "old timey." Is there anything more to it than just association?
Could you be more specific about what part of it feels "folksy" to you? Or post the songs you were listening to and point out the parts you feel demonstrate this the most?
