Short answer; no. It's a myth.

However it's very likely that the Babylonian ziggurat Etemenanki which stood 91 metres high was the inspiration of it, as it was built in the 6th century BC which was when the Jews who would write the gospels were still enslaved in the city. After centuries of decay and damage it was eventually demolished by Alexander the Great. Virtually nothing remains of it.
