I was getting into an argument with someone about cultural appropriation. Basically, all I was saying is that I can see why it's viewed as disrespectful for the offpsring of white settlers who committed genocide against the indigenous population to begin wearing the attire of that culture.
The response I got was this:
Your head is way too far up your ass to have any idea of what reality looks like.
I told him I'd come here to ask to see if it really is fair to call this genocide. This is mostly so I can rub it in his face, but I am genuinely curious if my layman understanding it really is fair to call a genocide.
