Can you clarify what you mean by "Hellenistic period"? If you mean the era from Alexander the Great to the Roman conquest, which historians refer to as the "Hellenistic period," I don't know enough to help you. If you mean more generally what we in English speaking countries call "Ancient Greece," then I'd be more able to speak to this.
