I'm writing a paper for my World History class and was just wondering why there wasn't a quicker intervention from foreign nations to stop the genocide in Rwanda?
Compared to most genocides, it didn't last for a long period of time but I'd imagine other countries had to know about it at least after a few weeks. Did the problems encountered in Somalia have some affect on the global reaction?
Were there some agreements in place that stopped a country like the U.S. who is usually extremely involved in other countries from helping the people of Rwanda?
