Friends, Hello. Hope you are well. I need some more book suggestions as first of all I am curious to know and learn and also that we are setting up a social science library for under grad and grad students -

Please suggest books on the following (written in an engaging style, offers a new and a comprehensive view)

a) French Revolution (FR) (Should one start with Simon Schama's Citizens ?)

b)Industrial Revolution (IR)

c) American Revolution (AR) Background History, Who were the main leaders, what motivated them, a bit about their personal lives, and importantly, the ideals on which America was founded

d)Socio-political / economic history of America of the last 150 years or so The book/books should cover the impact of some important events like First World War, Second World War, Roaring Twenties, Great Depression, civil war etc on the idea of America and its response to such events.
