After the French became occupied by Germany they began setting up a complex resistance network to sabotage their occupiers, I'm wondering if the German government had plans to do something similar.
There was, but none came to any real fruition. One such example was the Werwolf program, a plan to equip, train and secrete away large guerilla forces from 1944 onwards to operate behind allied lines to create maximum disruption and chaos and slow the allied advance. Despite some grandiose scheming Werwolf did not acheive a great deal outside some heavy propaganda value. The poor supply situation of Germany late in the war meant most of the planned Werwolf cells did not exist on anything other than paper and did not really acheive a great deal. There was even a limited amout of post war resistance against occupying forces by national socialist fanatics in some remote areas, but these were so limited in scale and effect the are barely recalled.
