I'm 28. I have no money and no higher education (with the exception of trade school), but I've had an undying passion for european/ancient history for my entire life. I want to pursue my passion and work my way up to publishing and teaching, even if it kills me, but I have no idea where to start. Any advice?
Get into the best BA program you can, then get into the best doctoral program you can. You may have to stop off and get into the best master's program you can in between.
But if you've never done it, how do you know publishing and teaching is your undying passion?
