Ĩ know '300' is a very inaccurate. But were there things that it accurately presented?

I don't mean to discourage further discussion, but I wrote a long post about this a few days ago, which you can find here (now also featured on r/bestof!). Basically, there are a few things that are accurate - mostly the overall story of a 3-day battle in a geographical choke point that ended with 300 Spartans fighting to the death - but almost every part of its aesthetic, its representation of battle and its underlying ideology is screamingly wrong.

Has 300 been on TV recently or something? There were no questions about it for months and now there's suddenly like four or five this week.
