what the peoples in that area

Sorry for the incredibly general question, the character limit kept me from elaborating as to what I meant. Primarily, I'm speaking of two vastly distinct peoples but with anecdotally similar ways of life; the Scythians/Sarmatians and the Huns. Broadly the question applies however to many of the peoples of antiquity described by the Greeks and Romans who lived in area north of black sea and northwest of China's modern borders.
