My Grandfather was a Sea Bee in WWII and he followed behind the European Invasion (I think following Eisenhower?) to dismantle abandoned equipment so it could be shipped back to the US. I really regret not talking to him more about WWII but he did have a journal he kept during the war. I haven't read it and I heard (from family) it's rather boring but I've heard that journals and whatnot are still really valuable to historians.

Would this be of interest to anyone? Are there any historians who are particularly interested in this topic?
