The red and black leads me to believe that it could be a Missal. The alphabet, style of the cross, and style of the picture say either Eastern Orthodox (Catholic) or Russian Orthodox. Is there a section toward the front with a sort of "dialogue" in red and black?

Okay, this book was definitely printed in Moscow (it says Москва on the bottom of the title page), which makes the language Russian.

I'm having real trouble managing to decipher this stylised a font, but the big red title seems to say:

T[У?][?]КНИК[Ъ?]

"КНИК" apparently means book.

I would post this same question at /r/translation, mentioning it's likely Russian.

I can't seem to find any "dialogue" but there's a lot of chapters in it. Apparently someone has been writing in it as well. I have added more pictures to the dropbox link above Also posted at /r/translation sub

The title page seems to be saying:

Trebnik = prayer-book (among other things), according to Google Translate.

Moskva, v sinodalnoi typografii = Moscow, at the Synod Printing Office

And the year is 1893 (Cyrillic numerals)
