Also the Turkish republic which fought a hard war after ww1 to regain its independence against France, Italy and Greece was a new foundation at the time of the war and obviously they could not afford such a big war. The country was developing intensely through nationalized industries and it can be said that there was a lack of man power even though the population was in increase. That's why Turkish government aimed to stay away from the war through successful diplomacy and they actually succeeded.
