I'm trying to figure out if there was freedoms that the general Joe Public enjoy today that was suppressed in Nazi Germany. I'm not talking about the ability to organize political action groups. You'd be shut down hard fast trying to do that, but lets face it; only a small percentage of us do that.
I'm talking about the regular working stiff who do some shopping then go home and watch TV (or radio at the time).
There was of course the "ban" of listening to foreign radio, but I can't find that people was sanctioned for this alone.
And as depressingly few listen to foreign TV/Radio/News/podcast or read foreign newspapers or web sites, the majority would really miss it.
I'm talking about something a majority would miss.
I would miss being able to be out at night as there was a curfew, keeping a night light on, because of air raids. I would generally probably dislike the normal everyday soldier taking a peek up my ladies skirt and not getting any reprehension. Any backtalk could wind you up in jail for demoralizing troops. Also rationing was pretty serious, not that they could help it but the government definitely spent alot of food on troops, so the average joe would have less to eat for the most part.
