seeing some old nazi pictures (link in the text) i come to realize that nazis incorporate and made extensive use of roman culture into their own such as banners and standards with eagles, flags and the NSDAP lethers just like the SQPR ones. is that all for a reason?
Yes of course. Hitler wanted to build a 2,000 year empire of his own. The precedent for that was the Roman Empire. So the symbolism was entirely intentional.
