Hi. First of all, I wish to let you know that this is a wonderful history group, with tons of good quality information. However, I have noticed that several of my questions have been removed and the reason given was - 'This seems like a 'homework' question or we feel you are trying to soapbox and other such absurd reasons'. I want to know what are the exact criteria by which you determine whether it is a homework or a soapbox case. Also, I was told that moderators do not reply to such questions, as they are worried about people plagiarizing their responses, how do you know for sure, that the 'genuine questions as per you', to which the moderators do reply, are not been plagiarized. I am a beginner in History and hence my questions are very simple, and if this makes you feel that I do not belong to this elite group, then please remove me, and you should not even accept beginners. I feel very disappointed as I thought this is an open forum run by liberals, where all kinds of questions will be accepted and answered. I wish the amount of time spent in gatekeeping and censorship, could have been used to help amateurs like me to strengthen their History basics. I know nothing is going to change. But it's my humble appeal, the internet stands for freedom (without offending others) and please keep it this way. We already have enough of surveillance, blockades, and rules ( I am sick of these rules everywhere). Please make this group more dynamic and not 'dictatorial'. Thanks a lot.
