Onan Navy generators

I found this generator while clearing out my fathers garage. Its an Onan US Navy Generator. Gn 51 aX8

Its original with original replacment parts still in envelopes and the manufacturers tag. I'd like to know more about it. I have searched these generators and not been successful finding these models.

Any idea where I could ask or look?

Interesting. This is a bit after the time period I study, but if you don't get an answer here you could try a post in r/navy or r/warships (maybe message their mods first to check that's ok).
