What I know of the photo is that it is taken in a mostly bombed out city. It was taken from a rooftop and the focus of the picture is a Soviet soldier holding out a large Soviet flag as a symbol of victory. I have seen various versions of the photo ranging from black and white to full color, but the one I saw most commonly had only the Soviet flag colorized. I know a small piece of trivia about the photo as well; the soldier holding the flag is wearing two wristwatches and that portion was often doctored out so as to not show the looting and pillaging that followed the battle.
