Hello, everyone. Odd question, but:
I'm trying to help a friend out. They have a PhD in history, experience as a museum curator, and experience running a reasonably-sized nonprofit. I offered to assist in the job search, paying special attention to museum work, and to see what I could find online.
Where would you recommend that I begin?
u/CptBuck got it. Tell your friend to visit the r/Museum pros wiki (on mobile, so having trouble linking). In there is a tool I made to help people in the museum field in job-hunting. It's a list of every museum job board in the world I could find. Hopefully your friend will find it useful.
Not at all my field, or a community I'm even subbed to, but have you or they checked out /r/museumpros? At the very least might be worth an x-post. I don't know active it is but they also have job board.
