Looking for a history book titled "The Germans," but can't find it on Google. Anyone know the historian's name?

I was recommended this book, it's quite prolific from what I understand. I think the author's name was Maximilian something, but all my Googling keeps sending me to King Maximilian of the Germans. Thanks.

I believe the book in question is The Germans by Gordon A Craig, which is a quite interesting read by a noted historian of modern Germany. The book is a bit old in spots, as it originally appeared in 1982, but Craig is a judicious commentator on German history.
