I've been wondering how historically accurate the ships looked like in Black Sails. The show features Pirate ships, British, and Spanish ships. Here is The Walrus a pretty big Pirate ship captained by the main protagonist that I can assume is a frigate. This is a Spanish Man o' War, and to me it kind of looks like something straight out of the 16th century. This is a British merchant ship, and this is a British warship fleet.

I'm not asking for the realisticness of the logistics of the ships, just how historically accurate they looked in regards to paint colours, flags, and shapes of the hulls, bows, sterns, etc.
