I just finished Band of Brothers, and when they arrive at a work camp, all the prisoners are adult males. What happened to women and children during the Holocaust?
The inmate who was interviewed by the Americans said that there was a women's camp up the line at the next rail stop. The camps in the TV program were segregated by gender (and children would have gone with mothers).
