I was thinking about this today, and it seems to me that most areas of American history have been written about pretty extensively. I was wondering if any of you can think of a particular area that hasn't.
I hope someone can correct me if I'm wrong—this is not my area of expertise—but I have yet to encounter a definitive popular history of the French and Indian (Seven Years) War. For sure, I have read scholarly articles on it. But I don't know of a book that gives a good outline of the conflict and the European and North American theatres.
Would redlining be under studied?
For sure the Interstate Highway System.
Chain retail pioneers, such as Sears and A and P.
Japanese Internment Camps.
