I know the show is not accurate historically, but are the clothing, armor, environment and the Khans links with the western world actually as they are in the show. For the untrained the show seems quite well made at least.
Follow up question, if anyone has read The Journeyer by Gary Jennings, would they be able to comment on its historical accuracy as well?
While I don't know enough about the topic to discuss specifics we must remember the topic of the show. The topic here is Marco Polo, a man whose stories were undoubtedly wildly exaggerated and some speculate fake altogether. Thus things that may seem inaccurate may be accurate to the source material rather than scholarly consensus.
