Hello! After a recent visit to Rome, I was struck by the beautiful pink marble columns in the church Sant'Andrea al Quirinale. I was wondering whereabouts the beautiful pink marble comes from geographically, further, how was it transported from there to Rome in the mid 1600s. I realize this question is highly specific, so any potential help is very much appreciated.
