Did anyone in the Middle Ages ever find fossils of extinct animals? If so what did they think they were? Did they know they were extinct or thought they still roamed the Earth. Improbable as it may be, was there any dinosaur fossils that were found by the people living during the Medieval Era? Did they believe it was a dragon, giant, or some other mystical creature?
