From what i read almost everyone says Russia is the only reason Nazi Germany was defeated when in fact the entire war the United States was giving them lean-lease and would have been defeated if not for all the material the united states had given them.
While this was the opinion shortly after the war , you can see that this is far from the case today. I don't have poll numbers for other countries, but you can see that "almost everyone" does not say such a thing.
The contributions of the Soviet Union to the war were enormous, with 80% of the Wehrmacht dying on the Eastern Front. In Myths and Realities, Glantz writes that without Lend Lease the war would have continued for another year, but ultimately the Red Army would have still defeated Germany.
